Is Azithromycin Pill Safe And Effective For Chlamydia?
Hi I recently got treated for chlamydia about a month ago and took one azithromycin pill. My symptoms completely went away for about 4 weeks and I started having sex again. The partner who gave me chlamydia is not in the picture anymore and I haven t spoken to her since so I know I wasn t reinfected from her, and my new sexual partner has no STD s. So I m wondering if it s possible for my symptoms to go away for awhile and then come back randomly? It burns when I pee a little bit and my urine is cloudy. Thank you.
Three things are possible in your case: 1. Tablet Azithromycin is a good choice for treating Chlamydia. But if the treatment is inadequate either in dose or duration it may likely to relapse. 2. Your new partner may be likely to have infection about which she and you might not be aware. 3. Inadequate consumption of liquids and consumption of alcoholic beverages may lead to have burning during urination. A simple examination of urine may rule out the third possibility. Consult a Dermato-venereologist or a Genito-urinary physician. He/she will help you for further treatment. Dr S.murugan
