General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Bathing is not only permitted but is essential during periods. Vaginal washes with clean water, after using rest room / before changing pads is also good during menses from hygiene point of view. In grave summer, bath / wash with clean-tap water can be done safely (in order to avoid exposure to excessive heat).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
