Is Birth Control Pill The Best Option For Unprotected Sex ,also Noticing Bleeding, Back Cramps And Nausea ?

Hello. Two weeks ago I had unprotected sex, and as of this morning I began bleeding very lightly- a slight brown color. I have been taking the Jolessa birth control pill for over 10 months now. I have experienced breakthrough bleeding in the past, and would normally consider this no different, if it weren't for the fact that I have almost a month of pills before the week of placebo pills, and I've been experiencing quite a few symptoms, raising the alarm. In addition to the bleeding, for about two weeks, I wake in the morning, get out of bed, and upon standing, I find that I'm light-headed or dizzy for a few seconds at a time. I've also began getting abdominal/lower back cramps, and nausea (without vomiting, so far). I've also noticed smells I normally would not. I guess my question is, should I discontinue use of the pill, and wait out the several weeks until the week of my expected period, or should I proceed as normal and act based on the week mentioned? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Regular birth control pills are a sure way to avoid an unwanted pregnancy. The back pain and nausea are common side effects of such pills and do subside in a few days.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
