Is Blacking Out An Indication Of A Seizure Attack?

I blanked out today at a nail salon. Came to when they were calling 911. Told them I was ok. I was totally fine within a minute. Had some sweating after I came too. Eyes were open during but have no recollection of anything they did to revive me until I came to. Could this be a seizure?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It can be an absent seizure, a variant of seizure disorder. Other possibilities are TIA (transient ischemic attack). It has to be evaluated to find out the cause. Consult a neurologist and get an MRI scan done to look for any intracranial causes. You have to do an EEG also.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
