Is Bleeding From Left Eye An Indication Of Broken Blood Vessel?

Hi. I am a 56 yr old female in good health. I exercise regularly, eat well and am on one prescription drug (prempro 0.3/1.5mg--1/2 tab daily). Today my left eye has had a bleed--like a blood vessel broke. I can feel some pressure in that eye. What could be the cause of this? Thanks so much. Janet

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your bleeding from your left eye following the use of prempro I am suggesting strongly that you have developed one of the side effects of this drug called hemorrhage

Prempro is known as medroxyprogesterone used to control menopause symptoms such as hot flushes vaginal dryness burning irritation and prevention of osteoporosis

In view of this please see your physician for further clinical assessment and possible re-evaluation of your medication

I hope this helps Regards
