Is Blood Discharge After Menstruation A Cause For Concern?

I m having trouble with my menstrual cycle I guess. My menstruation date was on 15th august but It s been three weeks I m getting blood discharge daily. The smell of the discharge is same as that of menstruation. Although the blood discharge is little but I m worried. I m an international student and my insurance doesn t cover gyane. Moreover I had masturbated while on periods to be more precise on 6th and 7th day. I m planning to wait until my next menstruation. I would like to get suggestions from your side. Thank you.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As first-line management, you can take drugs like tranexemic acid to control bleeding.

If symptoms persist better to consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
