Is Blood Test Advisable For A Person Suffering With Rashes?
Yes I have a nephew I m watching and he s been haveing rashs but also not feeling well so he was given Nyquil and a little melatonin to help sleep well sister is concerned about rashs still and was wondering if he would need a blood test done to see what rashs are coming from and if he needed blood test will the medicines given show up? We are thinking he getting small pox or something we are just wondering if he got blood tested if the medicines would effect what is wrong with him so would they show up in blood test?
Rashes in many patients can be confirmed to be from a disease by consulting a doctor. The clinical examination is sufficient to start treatment. Small pox has been eradicated long back and is not a risk. However other causes of rashes like chicken pox is to be thought of.
Blood tests are generally not required unless the doctor suspects a different condition. The medicines will not cause any significant problem to his blood test or treatment. If there is persistent fever with rashes than a complete blood count can be done and this will be decided by the treating doctor. Please give healthy foods and adequate liquids to him to maintain nutrition and prevent dehydration. Please do not worry.
