Hello, I have recently started experiencing blurry vision when I blink. It takes a few seconds for my eyes to adjust afterward. I have very bad astigmatism. My eye-sight is -10 in one eye and -9 in another. I have been told that I am at risk for retinal detachment - due to the shape of my eye, and to look out for sudden bursts of light. Should the sudden onset of blurred vision when I blink be a concern? FYI - I am 40, I wear glasses.

Is Blurred Vision When I Blink A Concern?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. This could be due to your high astigmatism but get your Retina checked once as we want to rule out any retinal holes or tears. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
