Is Blurry Vision A Normal Side Effect After Cryotherapy?

Hi I had cryotherapy on my left eye this afternoon for a small retinal tear from vitreous detachment. They tried laser therapy first but it didn t work due to vitreous hemorrhage from the tear. after the cryotherapy the doctor told me to go home. Since having the cryotherapy my vision in my left has grown progressively more blurry to the point where I cannot read with my left eye. Is blurry vision a normal side effect or is this something to get help on?

Welcome to HCM..
Cryotherapy per se will not cause blurry vision..
Blurring of vision in your case could be due to the dilatation drops which must have been instilled for the procedure ( which cause more of blurred near vision) or due to the vitreous hemorrhage which can resettle after a cryo therapy..
Don't worry as you have already been seen and keep consulting the doctor for further followup.
