Is Bone Barrow Test Required For Elevated Mcv And Mch?

my 52 year old non-alcholic sister's mcv and mch was elevated since she removed her ovary last May. No b12 and folic serum deficiency. her total rbc is 4.0 and total wbc is 4.1. Been going for blood test every 3 mths since last oct. now haemotologist suggest bone marrow test. Should she go for it.
