Is Bouts Of Nausea And Vomiting Due To Problem In Gall Bladder?
My wife just had a serious bout of nausea with vomiting. Her pain is in her stomach from her sternum down to her lower stomach. The pain is also in her mid to low back, but primarily in her upper stomach. This came on quite suddenly. She has been treated for influenza A and B with bronchial pneumonia. She s had the flu for about a week and the respiratory problems for over two weeks. Could this be a gall bladder issue
noted history of nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. does this usually happens after a fatty food intake? yes, it may be a possible gallbladder/ biliary tree pathology (specifically gallstone disease). other conditions such as costochondritis, acid related diseases and/or pulmonary pathology must also be ruled-out. it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably a general surgeon or a gastroenterologist, for physical examination and clinical evaluation. diagnostics (such as ultrasound, liver function tests, blood count) and management (medical and/or surgical if indications are found) will be directed accordingly.
hope this helps.
good day!!
