Is Breaking Of Titanium Rods And Plates Used In Femur Surgeries Normal?
I need to ask a question. If titanium rods break so easy why are they being used in femur surgerys? Is there another option? I have had a rod break and after that had a plate break. finally my 3rd surgery another Dr. inserted a rod and so far I have been fine except a little pain . I do have RA and an use to pain. Is this the norm for rods and plates to break like this ?

if you start premature weight bearing then it may cause implant failure in form of breakage in plate or nail. or you have other trauma of high velocity may lead to breakage of implants. it may happen in some cases.
