Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Brown Discharge During Early Pregnancy A Cause For Concern?
Sir,I am newly married.my wife is two months pregnant now. .All that speak that when a woman became a pregnant then monthly period is stop automatically .But my wife s from last two days something something bleeding and coming something brown colour semen..why sir...?Is it abortion...?
One in five pregnant women has some kind of bleeding in the first trimester. So, it may happen that a woman has some bleeding and this does not mean that the pregnancy is going to stop. On the other hand, bleeding can be a sign of abortion or ectopic pregnancy.
So, to make sure what is happening in the case of your wife she needs to have a visit with her doctor and have an ultrasound and a BHCG blood test.
According to the results of these tests and examinations, the doctor will be able to determine which is the cause of the bleeding.
I hope this answers your query and is helpful to you. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family physician
