Is Brown Substance Stuck In Navel A Symptom Of Bacterial Infection?
Hi i noticed inside my belly button (innie) is hard brown substance and stuck deep inside (i cannot remove it) and if i try to i feel nauseous and scared. Is this related to bacteria? Bc i am current taking PPI for a stomach ulcer & following a diet to help H pylori.
It is possible that it is a build up of dirt/substance in the umbilicus. You can apply water or another moisturizing agent to the area to encourage it to soften.
When it is soft then you can gently remove it.
If there is pain , swelling, discharge or redness then this would indicate infection that would require antibiotics.
I hope this helps
