Is Bruise And Swelling Normal At The Blood Draw Site?
My wife(31y 5'6" 130lbs) had blood drawn 1 week ago(tue 4/12) at the lab above her OB/GYN it was her first visit after learning that she is pregnant. She had bruising after the draw that we thought nothing of however she not only still has the bruise but it is getting larger. Is this normal? Should we be concerned?
No need to concern. The bruise will be self limiting, and will go off in a 10-12 days time. It is due to internal bleeding from the vein from which blood was drawn.
