Is Bulging Normal Under The Healing Shingles Rash?

Diagnosed with shingles on left back and abdomen on Jan 8th. RX for 1000 mg acyclovir 3 x day for 7 days. 3 weeks later I noticed a bulge at my waist under the healing shingles rash. Bulge is only painful when driving over dips and bumps. Area of rash over bulge is still sensitive to touch and still burns at night. Other than that, I feel fine. My dermatolgist states the bulge is part of the inflammatory process of shingles. 2nd opinion?

Shingles is viral infection that cause by varicella zoster viruses.
Incubation period of this varicella zoster virus ia 14 days.After it start appear.

First papules are appear it become vesicles.That vesicles are in crop and unilateral most commonly.
Vesicles are tear drop in appearance. After busting vesicles scar is happen.

This vesicles are spread via respiratory droplet and direct contact .

This infection is sever in adult.your doctor is right shigles are spread rapidly and excessive in bunch .
