Hi and thank you so much for this query. I am so sorry to hear about battle with anxiety and mood swings that your husband has. Generally., I discourage physician treating their close ones. I will suggest that you get hi evaluated and treated by his doctor. Effexor and Concor are very different medications that are used to treat entirely different conditions. While effexor is an anti depressant, concor is a beta blocker. I will not suggest you unilaterally changing his medications. Please, let his doctors do so. I hope this addresses your query fully.
