Is Cabcor A Better Option Than Effexor To Treat Palpitation And Mood Swings Caused Due To Anxiety Disorder?
Hi I'm a gynaecologist. my husband is suffering from anxiety disorder(palpitations, depressed mood etc). we've been to different psychiatrists so far. Lately he has been put on 2Cap effexor SR. Remained well for couple of weeks but again he is symptomatic since 2 week. I want to try Tab concor 2.5mg. Can I? n in what dose?
I am so sorry to hear about battle with anxiety and mood swings that your husband has. Generally., I discourage physician treating their close ones. I will suggest that you get hi evaluated and treated by his doctor.
Effexor and Concor are very different medications that are used to treat entirely different conditions. While effexor is an anti depressant, concor is a beta blocker. I will not suggest you unilaterally changing his medications. Please, let his doctors do so. I hope this addresses your query fully. Thank you so much for using our services and please feel free to ask for clarifications if need be. I wish him the best of health. Dr. Ditah, MD.
