General & Family Physician 's  Response

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. If fracture is present immobilization is needed to get proper consolidation of fracture. immobilization will be needed for 6 to 8 weeks. If you send the X ray which is taken in two projection it will be more helpful in telling you what type off treatment suits him. If it is stable then casting or Ankle brace will be helpful. If unstable then surgical measures like plates and screws are preferred. You can consult an Orthopaedic surgeon for managing this.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
I find this answer helpful
