Is Chemo Safe While Having Only One Kidney?
My 72 year old sister was diagnosed with colon cancer. She had two polyps with cancer removed and 2 out of 19 lymph nodes were cancerous. She had kidney cancer - one kidney removed - 10 years ago. Her doctor wants her to take chemo. We re not sure that would be good for her remaining kidney.

You can take chemotherapy, however, before starting chemotherapy the liver function tests and kidney function tests should be within normal limits.
