Hello, Doctor I am Satirani Das. A cancer patient. I had undergone surgery on 01/07/16.My left breast had been removed. Diagnosis-Medullary carcinoma Left Breast Post pT3N0M0 POST MRM On Adjuvant Chemotherapy under Dr Indranil Ghosh Medical Oncologist of Apollo Hospital Kolkata. I had undergone 6th week of adjuvant chemtherapy.I have no any physical problem at this moment. My question is How I know Chemo is working and killing the cancer cells? Shall I ever cancer free ? regards satirani das
If you want to rule out metastasis than PET scan or CT scan like higher investigations can be planned. Usually prognosis is good in medullary breast carcinoma.
No other specific investigation needed to rule out metastasis. Your lymph nodes are not involved by a tumour so prognosis will be good for you.
