Hi,I am Dr. Carol Rogala (Emergency Medicine). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Chest Pain Accompanied With All Heart Diseases?
I have been having pain on the left side of my chest for a while now. It comes and goes and its more bothersome than anything else. It is usually around my armpit area (usually underneath) and sometimes creeps around to the back or front of my chest momentarily. The pain doesn t last long. It also sometimes affects my shoulder and neck. The time I notice it is when I am at work, serving tables. Doctors tell me that its the strain on my body/muscles from constantly working (I work 7 days a week, between two jobs) and that lifting the trays is what is causing the pain. I had an EKG and chest x-ray done not too long ago...both came back fine. Any ideas or suggestions? Does anybody think it could be heart related? I am a 24-year-old male, in good health (I hope).
I was married to a pharmacist and my brother-n-law was a doctor. It sounds like a muscular problem from constant use of your arms, but ekg dont always show a problem. They usually show if you have had a heart attack or damage.I would suggest that you see a cardilogist and let him decide since general practioners arent great with this sort of thing after all they dont specalize in the heart ,cardilogist do.When you find out post it on answers,I care about people and I have three sons and this is what I would tell them to do-Take care
