Is Clarithromycin Used For Bladder Infection Or Respiratory Infection?
I am suffering from bladder infection and it was confirmed by urine test, the practice nurse prescribed clarithromycin 250mg. but I found in the leaflet that this medication is used to mainly in respiratory infection. So, does it treat bladder infection?

Hello.Clarithromycin is an antibiotic used for respiratory tract infections, skin infections,helicobacter pylori ... but is not the most appropriate antibiotic to treat a urinary tract infection(UTI).Antibiotics such as Ciprofloxacin, Cefuroxime or Cefixime are widely used in the treatment of UTI.Please consult your doctor for a prescription.I wish you good health.
