Is Cleaning The Rectal Cavity By Wiping It With Petroleum Jelly A Safe Practice?
For years I ve been cleaning my rectal cavity by wiping with lotion or patrolium jelly.. Recently I ve been having an unknown problem with what seems to be my prostate. Feeling this could be due to this practice.. I asked the treating urologist and he said to use KY jelly like they do in rectal exams. But they don t sell that at stores. Am I the only one in the world who cleans myself in this fashion? Dry toilet paper is so uncomfortable and doesn t do the job of cleaning the mess when your stool is always have solid, half mush and alot of it gets stuck up inside.
After reading your query in details, kindly find my answer below.
* The petroleum jelly is not a sterilizer, rather it is only a surface smoother and lubricant.
* So for the smoothing purpose use is okay, but not as a cleanser agent.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
