Is Clear Serum Discharge Normal After Having Sex When Pregnant?

21 years old, 36 weeks pregnant last night after intercourse I went pee and after I wiped I stood up and a clear serum like liquid ran down my leg. I wiped it and as soon as I wiped it was back, about an hour later I wasn't leaking enough to really notice but its still somewhat there. Did my water break and I not realize it or is this perfectly normal?

thanks for writing to us!

it seems that the discharge was not before the sexual contact and it has been there only after it; moreover it is not thick, watery, slowly dribbling, not-itchy, non-bloody and non-purulent.

being in the last trimester there is a high possibility that it is the amniotic fluid.

it should not be neglected and what is of utmost important that you have to take absolute bed rest preferably in the left lateral position!

and of course go for USG for your baby's assessment.

i hope i answered your question.

all the best.........
