Is Colonoscopy Advisable For An Elderly Person With Diverticulitis?
Hello, You have to get a cardiology clearance before colonoscopy in the elderly individual. Generally, it is short and simple procedure and does not cause any complications, however for elderly individuals it might cause cardiac problems. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
