Gastroenterologist, Surgical 's  Response
Dear Madam

Strangulated intestines need to be removed surgically. His recovery involves two aspects,
1. Healing of his intestine joint, that depends upon patient's general condition and local condition of anastomosis.
2. His general recovery, means his activity. He should do spirometry (chest exercises), through out the sputum, should be ambulant ASAP which will help in faster recovery. This is normal to happen after surgery but excessive sputum formation with fever may be symptoms of chest infection.

Wishing him faster recovery
