Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Bloating

I have been dealing with upset stomach or intestinal issue for the last four days, I v have been feeling bloated, I can t tell for sure if it is stomach or intestinal discomfort. I think it might be intestinal. Today when I had a bowel moment there was red blood in my stools. Never have experienced this before. Any thought?

Hello,

By your history and description, possibility of either intestinal infection or polyp is more likely.

So better to consult a gastroenterologist and get done clinical examination of abdomen, ultrasound abdomen, stool microscopic examination and lower GI (gastrointestinal) scopy.

If all these are normal then no need to worry much.

Take pantoprazole and levosulperide (prokinetic) combination on empty stomach twice daily. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Kaushal Bhavsar, Pulmonologist
