Is Conception In The 5th Month Post Childbirth A Concern?
My name is Natasha. I am 5moths pp on yhe 7th of this month (i had a C-section) and i am 8weeks pregnant today. My dr gave me a horror story about the risk invoved because i havent full healed from c-section. She said my uterus could.burst as it expands and that i could die. Is this true ? Im just teally scared. And im wanting to know what the risks are. I no ill be a gigh risk pregnancy but whats the odds of something like that happening? Thankyou
Hi . Thanks for posting on hcm. I recommend you to follow your doctor's advise as what she said is appropriate. After c-section minimum of 2 to 3 years gap is advised before the next child as uterus takes time to heal where it is sutured and it differs from individual to individual some may heal in a year other in 2 or 3 years. If next pregnancy is within short time before the healing of uterus due to the growth of the baby and expansion of uterus wall of uterus gets thinned and gets ruptured at the site of sutures. In pregnancy blood supply to the uterus increases so when the suture site ruptures it causes uncontrolled blood loss lowering in blood pressure leading to shock and if not intervened timely causes death due to the blood loss. Hope this is helpful to you. Regards
