Is Conception Possible Despite Taking Triphasil?

Hi doctor.I have been on depo shot for three years now i was supposed to go for my next shot on the 18th of august but i didnt go and only went to my doctor on the 30th of august but instead of getting the shot i got started onto triphasil. The next day after taking my 1st pill which was on the 31st of august i had sex. Is there any chance of pregnancy?

Hi,

Depo shots for contraception take 3-5 months to re-establish normal periods with ovulation.

So there is very less possibility of ovulation &pregnancy on the 13th day after withdrawing depo shots.

Similarly the very first pill of the oral contraceptive Triphasil... is not likely to give protection from conception. It takes a minimum of 7 days regular intake of any of to have the result.

In short you have more possibility of escaping pregnancy.... you should be concious to check rarest possible pregnancy with home pregnancy test after 8daysdelay in period.
