Is Conception Possible While Treating Mild Poly-cystic Ovaries?
Hi i am 27 years old and i am taking cyclo progynova bcs without this medicine i cannot have period , i will marry can i bring baby bcs i have micro polykysticque ovaries , is pregnant possible for me? Is cycloprogynova will effect on baby if i come pregnant?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD) is a condition in which menstrual periods are irregular and there is untimely ovulation due to the imbalance in hormones in the body. This would result in difficulty in conceiving leading to infertility. However, it is a treatable disorder. Pregnancy is possible when treated with medications for regularizing menstrual cycles and timely induction of ovulation. Kindly continue with the medication as advised and do the necessary follow-up with your doctor. These medications would only aid in ovulation process and helps to implant the fertilized ovum. It is not known to have any adverse effects on growth of the baby. With proper medication and follow-up, percentage of conceiving is more and could result in pregnancy. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
