Is Conception Possible With Irregular Periods?

My cycles are all over the place.. I have tried doing the basal body temp and that too is all over the place. I have bought the clear blue advanced opk and want to try and use it, but we were hoping to use the shelters method to conceive a boy. I feel like this is almost impossible with my cycle... any advise?

I understand your concern.
Chances of pregnancy would be high when menstruation is regular. This is because ovulation would happen at right time and if fertilization occurs, endimetrium would be prepared for implantation to take place.
This would be difficult to happen when cycles are irregular as the timing of ovulation would vary. Even if fertilization occurs, implantation might not happen as endometrium might not be prepared to accept it. This decreases the chances of conceiving.
