Is Congestive Heart Failure Curable?

My sister has congestive heart failure at 32 years old. Her heart is only working at 10 to 15 %. They put here on a medication to help Herheart muscle get stronger. Is it possible to cure? Or is this a chronic condition? Then what is life expectancy for this?

Hello,

Your sister is too young to have problems with congestive heart failure. I think there are other factors causing her heart muscles to work at only this percentage, including hereditary conditions, immune disorders, or any virus or poisoning. Alcohol use, or pulmonary problems can also be other factors.

We should evaluate her overall health condition, and understand the main causes first. Then, can decide if strengthening the heart muscles is the only solution or can put her at list for heart transplant.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
