Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
At my last colonoscopy I was told I probably had irritable bowel syndrome. But it hasn t been much of a bother until lately. I am 68 yrs old. Lately I am having bad pains in my upper stomach. It will go away at night while sleeping but then when I eat it starts all over again. I have been having this since June 6th. That night I vomited and was in pain. I thought I had the flu. Always have diariah!
The symptoms seem to be related to a gastroenteritis. I suggest to use an over the counter option for the diarrhea such as Imodium. I also suggest using daily probiotics and drink a lot of liquids.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
