Is Cough And Wheezing While Breathing A Normal Side Effect Of An Emergency Intubation Procedure?
I had an emergency intubation done on me 1 month plus ago and I still can hardly speak and my throat feels closed up and swollen and I can hardly get any air. It hurts...I cough and I wheeze when I breath...is this part of the normal healing process and what can I do? I take benedryl and use cough drops and cloroseptic numbing spray and steam my throat and try not to talk...any thing else I can do? What treatment would a Dr. do it I was to go to them?
Any intubation procedure effects ware off after 48-72 hours of the same. At the period of 1 month, possible bronchitis, pneumonia or other issues have to be sorted out with X-ray chest from your consultant.
