I am a 17 year old female and since I woke up this morning I have been experiencing severe cramps in my lower abdomen. It feels similar to my menstrual cramps but I just finished my period a week ago. I have researched online and a lot of people say it's the early signs of pregnancy. I am sexually active but I also have taken birth control for over a year now. I have tried taking Advil and a warm bath but still no help. Any answers?
hello u have finished ur periods week ago but were those periods delayed or not were they normal in flow
have u missed sm doses of ur birth control pill in the preceding month
if u had not missed any dose , ur periods were not delayed & they were normal in flow .u should not be pregnant
lower abdominal severe cramps can happen in pregnancy but r not diagnostic of pregnancy. they can happen in other situations like gastroenteritis, appendicitis, ovarian cyst
to rule out pregnancy u can go for home based urine pregnancy test . if Upt is negative drink more fluids take appropriate
in gastroenteritis patient have nausea & loose stools also beside cramps if ur symptoms don't subside with paracetamol or analgesics u should consult a doctor & go for ultrasound whole abdomen & pelvis to rule out other things
please vote helpful if this was able to allay ur worries
