Is Creatinine Level Of 13 A Cause For Concern?

Hello my husband had acute kidney failure for about a week, creatinine levels of 13, he recovered in the hospital, was diagnosed as high blood pressure, dehydration caused it, since his recovery two years ago, he has joint pain an fluid sometimes in his knee, pain in the knee also, kidneys seem to be fine, pees all day just fine, is good on BP meds, family s long history of kidney issues, he s only 32, not very active, bad diet.

I understand your concern.
What your husband had was an acute insult to kidneys shooting his creatinine levels. Since he is treated and recovered now, he needs to be careful to maintain it well.
He needs to strictly be on medications and keep his blood pressure under check. Also he needs to take care to prevent getting dehydrated.
Joint pains and his regular activity can be overcome by taking Vitamin D3 medications.
Slowly, he would be back to normal soon. Kindly avoid infections, especially gastrointestinal, by avoiding eating food from outside.
Keep his kidney parameters under check at least once in 3 months.
