Is Creatinine Level Of 2mg/dl A Cause For Concern?
sir, I am 22 year old male, I have undergone a blood test which reported a creatinine level of 2mg/dl and also have undergone the Ultra sound test which reported bilateral mildly increased renal cortical echoes. I am having lower backache right now plz guide me.
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Normal levels of creatinine in the blood are approximately 0.6 to 1.2mg/dL in adult males and 0.5 to 1.1 mg/dL in adult females even though these values may vary with laboratory.Levels that reach 2mg/dl may mean severe kidney impairment.Other causes of high blood creatinine may include: High BP, Diabetes, certain drugs, kidney infections, abnormal muscle breakdown and urinary tract obstruction.I will suggest you see a Nephrologist for investigation. Kidney problems are not to be neglected. Hope my answer will help you Regards
