Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am curious, is dark urine a sign of pregnancy? I think I may be pregnant. I'm waiting so see if my period shows up in two days but I'm notice a lot of changes. It's possible I could be perimenopausal. I am 45 and I had a miscarriage last year when I was 44. Gave up on having kids because I thought I just couldn't, but surprise. I am wondering if I've done it again. :-)
Hello,my name is dr.Dorina Gurabardhi.I understand your concern. Dark urination can be a symptom of pregnancy and it usually occurs in the first trimester. If you drink more water and your urine is still dark, it could be a sign of some sort of liver problem and needs to be evaluated. I suggest you to do an urine pregnancy test and a BHC blood test for confirmation. Hope my answer was helpful. If you have any other question Ill be glad to help. Regards, dr.Dorina Gurabardhi
