Period was 6 weeks ago July 28th 2016 it is now September 6th 2016 and still no sign of a menstrual cycle other than cramping had a negative blood test 3 days ago on September 3rd 2016 went for a vaginal ultrasound and all the hell was I thicking cervix. Could it be pregnancy?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Delay in getting periods is one of the signs of pregnancy. However, it needs to be detected by means of urine pregnancy test or hCG levels in blood and confirmation of it by ultrasound scan. In your case, it appears that the cause for delay in getting periods is not due to pregnancy as your blood test is indicating negative and ultrasound scan is not indicating presence of gestational sac with fetal pole. You have mentioned that it is indicating thickening of cervix. Hence, the cause for it needs to be evaluated by means of clinical examination and laboratory tests, so that appropriate treatment can be instituted. Kindly consult Gynecologist in this regard for appropriate management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
