Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I came down with something three days ago where I had body aches, fever and diarrhea. The body aches and fever have subsided after a day and now I am still having diarrhea... bright yellow, to pale yellow and just recently pinkish red (but, that could be because of red gatorade). I have lately (last few months) have had acid reflux issues and watery stools. Could I be dealing with gallbladder issues/IBS?
** Thanks for contacting with your health concern.
1. As diarrhea is of recent origin, thus initially exclude 'infective diarrhea' as the cause of pathology.
2. people with chronic gallbladder issue may have digestive problems like acid reflux, diarrhea, abdominal pain which can mimic features of IBS, so to know if anyone of them is the root cause kindly consult a Gastroenterologist for necessary examination and relevant investigation.
PS. because IBS is a functional disorder, so people always wonder if they might have other digestive problems simultaneously, so it is best to consult your doctor who can explore your symptoms and order appropriate diagnostic tests.
