Is Diarrhoea, Intermittent Fever, Racing Heart In A Child A Cause Of Concern?

Hello, On Friday my 8 year old son came down with a fever of 103.8 F and on Saturday he started feeling nautious, Sunday he was vomitting and had diarreah today he still has diarreah and the fevers which only go away with advil and cool showers, but once the advil wears off the fever is back up to about 103.5. Today I noticed that I can see his heart beating fast through his ribcage. I can not get him in to see his family Dr until Thursday and there are no walk in clinics where I live. Do you think I should take him to the hospital. Thanks

Hi,
It seems that he might be having acute gasro-enteritis producing loose motions, nausea with high temperature.
due to high fever his pulse rates are supposed to be heavy.
He might require Oflox TZ for having GI infection.
Give him plenty of water, electral powder and ORS liquid for having high fever and to prevent dehydration.
Give paracetamol for temperature.
Watch for signs of dehydration like less urine out put, sleepiness, dry tongue.
If this occurs take him to ER.
Keep cold sponge on head and abdomen.
Ok and take care.
