Is Difficulty In Facial Movement A Sign Of Stroke?
think i had a stroke when i was 17 now im 20 my whole side of my face i couldnt move at all not one part for about a week i told my brother about this he said sounds like a stroke i looked it up online and sure enough it sounds like i had one how do i find out if i did or not
I read your question and I understand your concern.
Usually a stroke has other signs apart from facial weakness, like weakness of the limbs on one side, vision problems, balance problems etc. Facial weakness alone can also be a result of stroke, but since you describe it to involve the whole face more probably it is a peripheral facial nerve palsy (Bell's palsy) which involves the whole face including the eye and the forehead, while in stroke it usually involves only the lower part of the face. However since you say you have a history of stroke making you a high risk person, I think that before jumping to conclusions a neurological exam is necessary to search for other possible signs.
I hope to have been of help.
