Is Difficulty In Getting Pregnancy Due To The Effect Of Birth Control Pills?
Hi Dr. Mayuri hope you are doing well. I am trying to conceive from last 6 months and I don t see any positive results. I am 28 yr. old and my husband is 31. As per health we both are perfect. I am 5.5 height -66kg. No alcohol , no smoking. Only my weight is over. I am having prenatal gummies from last 2 months. I do check ovulation through kit and every alternative day we try. One of the thing I am worried about is I have had birth control pills may be like 7-8 times but from last 2 years I haven t taken any. My period is regular. This is my detail . Can you plz give some suggestions or ideas to conceive fast. Thanks .awaiting for you reply

As per my clinical experience, consuming OC pills over a period of 8 years do not pause difficulty in getting pregnancy in majority of the cases.
As there is over weight in the question mentioning, insulin resistance causing polycystic ovarian syndrome is most likely diagnosis and the same should be evaluated with blood tests and ultrasound of the abdomen & pelvis.
In addition to that, alternate day intercourse may be a hurdle, I would suggest daily intercourse for a period of 9-18 days of the menstrual cycle for best predictable results of positive urinary pregnancy test. Wish you the best of luck for positive outcome with this advise ahead.
