Is Dull Throbbing Pain In Chest While Being Diagnosed For Costochondritis And Anxiety Normal?

hi i have been having chest pains lately , i had and ecg in Febuary 2013 , December 2013 , January 2014 all have read normal , my oxygen levels from the vitals were 99% the pain feels like a dull throbbing on the upper left side chest by the breast bone i have been diagnosed with costochondritis and also have anxiety issues which the syptoms feel like heart attacks this morning i got a sudden throbbing pain on my left side alone the pain was very distinct and i could feel my heart beating fast in my chest it lasted for about two to three mins i get scared and think something is wrong my doctor doesnt want to give me medication for anxiety and told me to control my thoughts , i dont get pain with excercise i feel totally fine , sometimes fatigued and grumpy is this the anxiety and if so is there any supliments i can take to ease the syptoms all i am on is painkillers i am 31 yrs btw

Costochondritis is difficult to be predictive as far as its course is concerned. It needs non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs to be treated when required. In severe cases local triamcinolone or hydrocortisone injection may be of help. The other problem seems to be from anxiety for which you need to have a counselling and consult a psychologist for betterment.
