Is Duphaston Recommended While Receiving A Fertility Treatment After An Abortion?
im on fertility treatment.six months back, i had an abortion on 22 weeks i gave birth to a healthy baby but it didn't survive more than an hour since it was too much premature weighed 480gms.i conceived after ovulation induction only.now again we started our treatment i gave follicular study and ovulation induction with ccq 50 and pregnyle injection that was my first cycle but failed the next cycle doctor said for iui. so i was given injection on my 12th day around 5pm and iui done on 14th day aroung 12.30 noon.doc said that my follicles ruptured when scan was done and that was around 9.30 morning..my query is that im i late in doing iui since it took around 44 hours after injection and ovulated before.they asked me to take duphaston 10mg bd from that day for 15 days..

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. In stimulated cycles, as yours IUI is done 24 to 36 hours, after Inj. HCG. But the egg remains fertilisable for about 12 to 16 hrs, and sperms can survive in female tract for about 5 to 6 days. So, there are chances of conception in your case. Duphaston is given for luteal support. Don't take any tension and hope for the best.
