Is Dysnomia Indicative Of The Onset Of Dementia?

I have a problem communicating and/or finding the right word to describe an object. While frustrating, and funny at times, because of the word I use to substitute the proper word, it s beginning to scare me....just a little. This has been going on for about 15 or so years and I have now just turned 54. I also tend to multitask in thinking. In other words, I m usually thinking of at least ten to twelve things at the same time although not all of them are at the forefront of my thoughts. In addition, I am now, and have been extremely financially stressed for about 17 years and struggle and worry constantly about my financial security. I have been a cosmetologist for 31 years, however I also have worked in the nursing field from 1979 to 1990. In addition, I earned a bachelor s degree in business administration in 2006 form the University of Phoenix with a 3.9 GPA. My question is am I a candidate for early dementia because of excess proteins (like Lewy Dementia), or is my inability to recall a word when communicating caused by my mind always going on full-speed because of stress.....or both? I m a 54 year old female. Thank you.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the answer to your doubt consists of multiple possibilities for the dysnomia as underlying brain parenchyma disorder or else and less likely of early dementia. But a co-relation with clinical findings, latest MRI report or plates are of paramount importance at this stage to discuss further in details.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
