Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My right ear has been bothering me for the last few days. At first I thought it was a zit because when I pressed on it fluid came out. The pain is deep into my ear. It looks red inside and is causing an unbareble headache. Is this a ear infection? Which kind? And should I seek medical attention for it to go away?
Thank you for posting your query. I can understand your concern. Earache can be due to a lot of causes like ear infection , ruptured eardrum or even referred pain from a pathology in the throat. But since you say there is discharge from the ear and the reddish look points towards a middle ear pathology. I would suggest you not to instill any medication , oil or anything inside the ear and immediately visit an ENT specialist . With proper treatment this can be easily cured. Do not worry much. You can post any other question.
