Is Elevated IgM Level An Indication For HIV?
Hi, in early December I got really sick (high fever, the works) I was hospitalized and told my IgM levels were insanely high which pointed to the Epstein Barr virus. I m a sexually active bisexual male and I m wondering if the elevated IgM might actually be HIV. I ve had regular bloodtests and my IgM levels have been dropping to where it should be normal. I do tend to sleep a lot and feel tired very often, other than that I feel fine.

Igm Is an antibody which will be produced in response to a particular infection and does not indicate a specific infection per say.
the tests for HIV are highly specific, if you have any doubt about your HIV status please get yourself tested for the same
