Is Elevated Level Of Kidney Keratin A Cause For Concern?
My doctors all me today and advised my kidneys keratin was over 10. She referred me back to my primary Dr. He referred to his PA. Is this a serious condition, should I be worried. What could cause the count to be elevated and what is the normal range? Thank you. Barbara Brown 706-840-2032
Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.
It is a big cause of concern. Normal range is 0.6-1.3 mg/dL. You need to consult a Nephrologist for complete evaluation and treatment. Otherwise it may damage your kidneys. Hope you will not delay your treatment. If it stays at this levels or increases it may lead to permanat damage to kidneys and you may end up in renal dialysis in days to weeks.
Hope I answered all of your health concerns . If you have further questions in future, feel free to contact me anytime. In the start of your question write my name, and I will get back to you in no time. If satisfied, please click you found it helpful.
Have a wonderful time ahead.
Best Regards!
