I am 6 weeks 5 days pregnant. Yesterday I had my first ultrasound which showed a gestational sac, yoke, fetal pole and a good heartbeat. My doctor said everything looked good it was the correct size and heartbeat but the sac was elongated on one side. he said not to worry but everything I read suggests miscarriage?
The elongated sac is not a sign of miscarriage if you dont have pain or bleeding. Besides the sac containing fetal pole with heart beat indicates it to be a viable pregnancy. The shape of sac is not a problem unless the sac is irregular or located lower in position.
You just need to be careful like it is needed in all early pregnancies.
